Mariner Series - Vented Windows
The Mariner Series top hinged window provides maximum ventilation in forward facing areas. This style of window can be fabricated as either fully vented or partially vented with an upper or lower fixed section. To ensure proper a seal, the opening vent dimensions should not exceed 28" high by 48" wide.
The Mariner Series framing with mitered corners utilizes an integral hinge that locks securely into the main frame. This system allows for easy removal of the vent frame for inspection, cleaning, or resealing. 
The maximum opening angle of the vent is approximately 50 degrees from the closed position.
In the Mariner Series framing with radiused corners, external aluminum butt hinges are mechanically fastened to both the main frame and the vent frame. A non-corrosive delrin pin is used to connect the hinge sections. This system allows an approximate opening angle of 80 degrees from closure.
Dual telescoping adjuster arms with ratchet-action lock handles control and support the vent in the open position. Glass-filled nylon dogs firmly seat the vent into the outer frame in the closed position. Provisions for electric actuator motors are also available. A variety of frame finishes are offered. 3/16" or 1/4" glass can be specified.
Trim Rings (Optional)
The addition of aluminum trim rings offer a finished look on the interior. Trim rings are typically fabricated with a spigot depth to accommodate the bulkhead thickness. Mounting holes are drilled and countersunk into the flanges and are usually offset from those in the window. Flat trim rings with aligned mounting holes can also be provided for use in thin walls or for through-bolting purposes.
