American Marine has Service Centers located in both La Crosse and Dubuque, able to provide top-rated service work on all types and sizes of boats. Our factory-trained technicians have decades of experience, which ensures your vessel will be in the best hands.
At American Marine, we pride ourselves on being a five-star service center that also sells boats. Our main priority is providing top-notch service work on any vessel that comes through our doors. We are open to the public and available to service your boat 12 months a year.
The 20-hr check is important to keep your motor running at peak condition! After the break-in period on your new motor, you’ll want to make an appointment for your first scheduled maintenance between 15-30 hours. During this check, your motor is hooked up to diagnostics to verify it is running properly, and then all factory fluids and filters are changed.
In the event you need to file an insurance claim for your boat, American Marine is here for you! We work with all local insurance companies to complete estimates and repairs in a timely fashion. American Marine is a certified dealer for Lund, Sea Ray, Harris Flotebote, Sylvan, Starcraft, Mastercraft, and Scarab boats, as well as Mercury outboards and Mercruiser inboard/outboards. We are able to do any type of warranty work required on these boats or engines.
American Marine works with PropMD for all types of prop repairs and rebuilds. We are able to repair and rebuild props of any size, from a small aluminum prop with chips up to a large brass prop with missing fins!
At American Marine, we offer several different types of storage! Our Dubuque location offers outdoor and indoor cold storages. Our La Crosse location offers outdoor, indoor cold, and indoor heated storage. Check out our winter storage page for more information.
American Marine offers full boat detailing, both interior and exterior. We are able to do whatever you need: full interior/cockpit details, cabins, pressure-washing pontoon carpeting, pressure/acid wash exterior, buff & wax, and more!
Each engine manufacturer offers their own schedule for oil, filter, and gear lube changes, but a general recommendation is every year or every 100 hours, whichever is soonest. American Marine recommends doing this service in the fall when any oil contaminants are free-floating. Contact us to learn more.
Shrink wrap is the best means of protecting your boat from the snow and ice during those long, cold, and windy winter months. It’ll keep your boat warm when the sun shines and dry on even the worst of days.
American Marine will winterize any engine type – outboard, inboard, I/O, or jetski. We use a biodegradable anti-freeze which is river-safe in the spring…no need to “de-winterize” your boat, just put it in the water and turn the key!
We offer both a launch ramp and launch well for your boating needs. We have a fork lift and 2 travel lifts for launching in our well and can accommodate boats up to 75′ x 16′ (70 ton)
We offer spring recommissioning to make sure your boat is ready to go when you are!
Do you have gashes or “dock rash” on your gel coat? We are able to do in-house gel coat and fiberglass repair to keep your boat looking new longer!
